Designed by Andrée Putman, the Ritz-Carlton Wolfsburg is an integral part of the Autostadt theme park, a forum for mobility, built by Volkswagen, one of Europe’s largest car manufacturers. Andrée Putman concentrated on expressing a luxury that is refine and never excessive, that combines natural fibres and soft colours to harmonizes the outside and the interior, while large windows that open on the power plant of Volkswagen, officially recognized as a historical industrial monument.
For this charming contemporary hotel in technological Germany, Interna supplied all the custom-made furniture and complementary furnishings, including curtains, carpets, lamps and accessories, for the 174 rooms, of which 19 suites and 2 presidential suites, as well as for the 34 club rooms and the VIP lobby lounge. Due to the complexity of the project, the rapid schedule of execution and the high number of custom-made items, all one-off and exclusively tailor-made for this hotel to the highest quality standards, the Ritz-Carlton Wolfsburg posed a real challenge for the Interna team, but one met with great success.
