Well known name in the Italian design scene, Franco Poli began in the seventies with the Art Direction of Bernini spa and then with a long collaboration with Poltrona Frau and Frau Aviation. During his extensive travels around the world, he continually reshapes the languages of contemporary in the search for a new humanistic vision of life. Lately, in addition to Interna, he produced a long and successful sequence of leather objects edited by Matteograssi spa that earned many awards worldwide. He is a professor of design at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Venice, tutor for the national research council C.N.R., visiting professor at Politecnico di Milano and at the U.I.A. University of Florence. His works are part of the permanent collection at The Denver Art Museum, the Fonds National d'Art Contemporaine in Paris, the Museum of the Triennale of Milan, at the Magma Design Museum in Naples and part of the permanent collection of the Farnesina Design recently presented at the “Ara Pacis Museum” in Rome. Among the many awards, two Good Design Award of the Chicago Athenaeum, an Australian DesignX and a Compasso d 'Oro Honourable Mention. Between 2006 and 2009 he furnishes the reception areas of the Biennale d 'Art and the Biennale of Architecture in Venice, the coffee shop at the Italian Pavilion, the restaurant Le Bombarde and the Book Shop at the Corderie dell' Arsenale. Among the most recent exhibitions there are the First International Design Triennial " CREATIVE JUNCTIONS" in Beijing and the exhibition "DOLCE STIL NOVO domestic landscape in contemporary Italy" at Kaoshiung Museum of Fine Arts, Taipei, Taiwan.
