BMW Welt | Munich - Germany - 2007 | Interior Designer: FG stijl

The BMW Welt project has been for Interna a real challenge both for the very tough international tender and for the high technical complexity of the whole implementation.
In just 7 months the furnishings for the catering and entertainment areas of the building - bistro, international restaurant with coffee bar, sushi bar and service bar, balconies, vip restaurant club and board room - have been designed, produces and installed.
This astonishing building, outcome of a futuristic architectural project and characterized by an impressive undulated cover made of glass and steel with an area of 14 thousand meters supported by only 11 pillars is one of the architectural symbols of the third millennium as well as being the most significant representative of BMW.
Interna involvement made tangible the work of the Anglo-Dutch interior design studio FG stijl, winner of many awards among which the ‘Best New Design Hotel 2005’ for the College Hotel in Amsterdam, other project implemented turn-key by Interna.
The furnishings for the catering areas of the first two floors, all created specifically in a mix of steel, glass and integrated lights, are a whole with the architecture. For the board rooms on the third floor, Interna supplied the covering for the walls in stone, leathers and velvet, the floors, the casegoods and the exclusive upholstered items and a technological challenge: the “Media Wall”, a stone wall with an integrated system of video projecting.
Many have been the items selected from Interna own collections for all the floors and customized for each area.
